A Sunset Family Photography Session at Charles Daley Beach

There is something truly magical about a family photography session at the beach—especially when you add a beautiful sunset, a little laughter, and plenty of time to simply have fun together.

This family session at Charles Daley Park in Niagara Region was exactly that. The evening was warm and relaxed, the sunset created the most beautiful golden light, and we spent our time capturing genuine moments rather than simply posing for photographs.

Golden Hour, Laughter & Lots of Fun

One of my favourite things about photographing families is letting the session unfold naturally. Instead of asking everyone to stand still and smile for every photograph, we took advantage of the beautiful surroundings and made the evening an experience.

We skipped rocks, joked around, explored the shoreline, and enjoyed the gorgeous sunset. Those little activities gave everyone a chance to relax and allowed me to capture the genuine smiles and interactions that make family photographs feel personal.

Sometimes the best photographs happen when nobody is thinking about the camera.

Two Amazing Brothers

The brothers were especially wonderful to photograph. Not only were they incredibly smart, but they were also so well behaved and cooperative throughout the session.

Of course, they still found plenty of opportunities to have fun and tease each other—which made for some of my favourite candid moments of the evening!

There is something so special about photographing siblings together. Their personalities, little jokes, and natural connection create photographs that become even more meaningful as the years go by.

It was such a pleasure spending the evening with this wonderful family at Charles Daley Park. I hope these photographs bring them lots of happiness for many years to come.
